Job Sourcing & Editorial Policy

Job Sourcing & Editorial Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

How jobs end up on JOBVELLA — where listings come from, how they're checked, and how errors are handled.

Primary sources first

  1. The employer's own career website.
  2. Official ATS pages (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, etc.) run by the employer.
  3. Other company-controlled hiring sources.

Quality gate

Every listing is checked against the employer's live posting: company, title, location, work arrangement, employment type, salary (only if employer-published), original posting date, and working application URL. If verification fails, the listing is rejected. We publish fewer jobs rather than weak ones.

Dates

"Date posted" is the employer's original posting date — never JOBVELLA's publication date. If undisclosed, we say so.

Expired jobs

When an employer closes a role: removed from feeds, page marked, CTA disabled, structured data corrected. We never mark jobs expired merely for being old.

What we don't do

  • Invent salaries, dates, requirements, or locations.
  • Label hybrid roles as fully remote.
  • Publish unverifiable listings.
  • Accept payment for placement.
