About the Role

As a Designer on the team, you will explore and shape ideas grounded in user and business needs, lead small to medium-sized projects with growing independence, and ensure experiences are intuitive, consistent, and meet strong visual and interaction standards. The role blends hands-on design craft with communication and teamwork: presenting design rationale to a range of audiences, partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, and UXR, and contributing to workshops that clarify goals and priorities. The employer also expects thoughtful use of AI tooling to accelerate iteration and research synthesis while keeping human judgment central.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality UX and UI design thinking across product journeys, ensuring intuitive, consistent experiences
  • Lead small to medium-sized projects with growing independence, managing priorities and navigating challenges
  • Use prototyping and testing to validate solutions and inform iteration
  • Apply and contribute to the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability
  • Identify user pain points and propose effective, practical solutions; embed accessibility and inclusive design best practices
  • Present design ideas, rationale, and trade-offs clearly, and use storytelling to connect decisions to user needs and business goals

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product design experience with multiple shipped projects demonstrating solid design craft
  • Strong skills in visual hierarchy, layout, and information architecture, with a growing understanding of user-centered design methodologies
  • Comfortable using and contributing to a design system while designing for scale and consistency
  • Good working knowledge of user research processes and customer behavior in product contexts
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and align stakeholders through thoughtful rationale

Compensation

FanDuel publishes a salary band of $94,000 – $129,250 per year for this role, and notes it may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
